hellopollyscreenshotI know what you thought after the last post – “Great, she put one silly photo and some text in an iPhone app and she thinks that she’s programming”.  Well, Yee of little faith… behold! HelloPoly!

Indoor? What the? How….

trapped-1That is what I thought when I heard about an indoor triathlon.  What about having indoor sky diving or, better yet, an indoor war.  It it’s cold, why fight outside?
I was told that triathletes who live in cold climates, participate in indoor triathlons to get in the competition mode and prepare for the season.  Since I’ll try everything once if it won’t cause permanent damage (that was an important amendment), an indoor triathlon seemed like the thing to do.  So I did one, and then another one.

Gearing up

Have you ever had bright red legs that looked like they were sun burnt?  That itched like a mother…?  After cycling for an hour and a half? In 35 degrees? It’s a miracle that I didn’t scratch off all of my skin at that very moment.  Let this be a lesson for me and for the rest of us – Red is always bad, and dress warm when it’s cold!

Inspired by the Spire

I know where to spend the rest of my life.  Once they build this baby, I’ll get myself a little apartment overlooking the lake.  There will be a couple of dogs (that I can see from my windows), a picket fence (painted on a canvas on my wall) and I’ll even have the great outdoors (a mouse click away).  I’m talking about the most revolutionary architectural amazosity* (a-may-zaw-city) of our time, the Chicago Spire

Amazosity (a-may-zaw-city) – An amazing monstrosity. Don’t you know anything?

Anat’s World

Welcome to Anat’s world, filled with drama, culinary discoveries, new experiences, people and skills. It is now, when things start to settle in, that I realize what kind of things I must have (Netflix) and what I can live without (Salads at the Corner Bakery… yuck). Everything feels just bit more comfortable. Not completely comfortable but my habits are beginning to form, I’m adjusting to living alone and finding my place here in Chicago. Read more »

Leisure, Masacre and Flugtag

Oye! Has it been 3 weeks? What’s up? Not much? Me? oh, my entire reality has changed but aside from that… nothing much.

(This photo is my baby Cinelli tucked in the back seat, isn’t he cute?)
